Seller note:

1987 Cobalt 23BR. This boat is in great condition for a 20+ year-old! She is powered by a Mercruiser 260 HP V-8 Thunderbolt Ignition, Power Steering, and low original hours!!! She has a considerable amount of teak trim, hatch enclosures, and swim platform, in nice condition and looks great. She is set up in traditional fashion with a sliding helm seat, matching non-adjustable port seat and a full width stern seat. The deep open-bow is extremely comfortable and safe for smaller children...it feels like sitting on your couch at home! On deck she has lots of storage for skis/boards/tubes/drinks, a teak swim platform with ladder, and teak in-deck storage compartment hatch. She also has plenty of other storage areas as well as a private porta-potty area with a sink. This boat had never been in salt water!! I purchased this boat in the spring of 2010 and enjoyed a wonderful summer on the water in Lake Ontario. The Cobalt's deep-V design makes it fantastic for handling the varying water conditions found in Lake Ontario. This model is equipped with a heavy-duty battery switch, a sliding metal door between the bow and stern, and has not ever had bottom paint. It has a bow-filler cushion to convert that area for sun-bathing, as well as a slide-out back seat that becomes a chaise lounge. There is an older model radio installed, as well as a power antenna.
The boat was professionally winterized and shrink-wrapped in the fall and it is currently being stored at a local marina.
This boat runs like a dream!! It starts easily and has plenty of power to pull skiiers or two tubes with four kids in them! We had a blast. Because it did not come with any extra equipment, I had to purchase, brand new, the following items which are included with the sale of this vessel:
1. (2) person tube - $75
2. (3) person tube - $140
3. (2) tow ropes, different strengths - $60
4. (2) mooring lines - $25
5. (2) matching fenders - $50
6. (2) new batteries - $180
7. (1) marine radio with charger - $120
8. (1) fire extenguisher - $20
9. (6) life vests - $165
In addition, the boat did come with an anchor, battery switch, a spare prop, a bimini cover, and (2) snap-on covers for the cockpit and bow, both in very nice shape. The boat is also FULL of 42 gallons of gas, treated last fall with stabilizer, which cost me $180 in October!!
In August, the engine coupler went while we were on the lake. I had McMillan Marine replace the coupler at a cost of $1,514, which I have the receipt for. They did fantastic work and the boat drove like new when that was complete. I also had all of the lights checked out and repaired ($138) and all of the out-drive anodes replaced ($132) before I bought the boat last spring.
I do NOT have a trailer for this vessel.
